The bigger wheels give you better traction, more ground clearance, more pedaling power, more resistance to bumps and stuff like that. Other than that, the bigger wheels do gear the bike up a bit (1st is like 2nd, 3rd is like 4th and so on) since the wheel takes longer to turn over 360 degrees, but this allows for the use of smaller chain rings and gears saving weight and space since you no longer need the bigger gears.
I saw a 29er on Monday, didn’t expect the wheels to be that big (they don’t look too big in videos).
About $300-$500 more.
$500
thats what i need a 29ner its big i’m a tall guy and my x link has 26′s on it which is great buy i think i’ll feel better with bigger wheels would it effect anything on the bike i have?

Got mine (not the OD Pro) for $500 last summer @ Sport Chalet.
I got a Reba fork and added hydraulics – so it is now a pseudo OD Pro.
How much does an Overdrive cost, on average?
